Privacy Policy

Privacy is a concept associated with Confidentiality and comprises the protection of information, particularly customers' personal data, in order to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and upholding the fundamental right every individual has of accessing, and control who has access to, their personal information at any given moment.

As an electronic communications operator, NOS must ensure the confidentiality of its customers’ personal data, which regards their private lives, conveying the market a clear image of NOS’ trustworthiness and reliability.

NOS’ Privacy Policy is intended to provide our customers an understanding of how our organisation collects, processes, and protects personal information transmitted by anyone using NOS services.

For specific issues related to confidentiality and the privacy of personal data, NOS has a Chief of Personal Data Protection Officer (CPDPO) who is responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations for data processing. The CPDPO also acts on behalf of NOS in the interaction with the Portuguese national regulatory authority for data protection (CNPD - Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados) and promotes the adoption of data protection principles in line with international standards and best practices.
